About Me

I’m a freelance 3D generalist living in Virginia. I know, how does that work, right? This blog is designed to be a place for random musings, 3D news that interests me, and as a place to showcase my personal work and tutorials. I’ve had a deep love of CG art for going on 7 years now, and I never cease to be amazed by the industry and its always-changing nature.

I work mostly in organics, with occasional ventures into hard surface and architectural modeling. My modeling package of choice is Blender (don’t shoot me!), although I’ve had training in Maya, 3DStudio, SoftImage, Modo, and Cinema 4D as well. I sculpt in ZBrush, and do most of my texture work in Photoshop CS5.

Outside of 3D my hobbies include physical medium sculpting, film, snowboarding, hiking, climbing, caving, gaming, and some amateur attempts at programming. I also like long walks on the beach and other generic things that make this sound increasingly like a dating profile.

I hope you enjoy the blog, I’ll do my best to keep it updated as time and life permits. Leave a comment, I’ll get back to you no matter what it is. Stick around and you might even see some pretty cool stuff.
